As Saudi Arabia’s newest carrier gears up for take-off in 2025, the airline is embracing advanced retailing strategies by partnering with Sabre to adopt its optimisation technology.

As Saudi Arabia’s newest carrier gears up for take-off in 2025, the airline is embracing advanced retailing strategies and has partnered with Sabre to adopt its optimisation technology.

With Riyadh Air poised to begin operations in the new year, the collaboration with Sabre will see the two companies co-innovating in the realm of offer optimisation to modernise how the airline leverages ancillary revenue opportunities across a range of passenger touchpoints.

The agreement will see the Saudi carrier implement the SabreMosaic Offer Optimization solution – a modular platform that enables airlines to personalise retailing operations by selecting offer and order modules tailored to their requirements. The agreement with Riyadh Air will see the airline deploy a suite of Sabre products including Ancillary IQ and SabreMosaic Air Price IQ to generate and manage dynamic retail offers.

The airline is set to become the first carrier to operate an offer-and order-based solution across its entire retail spectrum. The inclusion of Sabre’s Continuous Revenue Optimizer tool will allow the airline to personalise travel options while optimising revenues through continuous pricing. It will also eliminate the need for traditional fare filing and booking classes in the direct channel.

Highlighting the exciting nature of the partnership, Darren Rickey, SVP global airline sales and account management for Sabre Travel Solutions, said “Riyadh Air’s forward-thinking approach and vision to be a digital-first airline align seamlessly with Sabre’s commitment to leading the transformation of airline retailing.”

He also noted the partnership underpins the desire for the industry to move towards “a fully offer- and order-driven future.”
