Nasmyth has expanded the manufacturing capabilities at its Bangalore facility.
Nasmyth has had a presence in Asia since 2013 with its strong supply chain services. Following the global pandemic, and as a significant investment, Nasmyth has further committed to its globalisation strategy by moving into a new facility and adding manufacturing into the region. Nasmyth Asia now employs over 30 strong highly skilled engineers who manufacture machined parts for predominantly the global aerospace industry.
With further investment this year, in specific machines that enhance Nasmyth Asia’s capabilities, the team deliver turnkey manufacturing and engineering solutions that exceed the highest global industry standards. All aspects of Nasmyth Asia’s manufacturing, supply chain management and engineering services are managed locally at the dedicated manufacturing facility. Aside from precision machining, capabilities such as reverse engineering, complex assemblies and system integration are some of the value-added solutions that the team delivers.
Nasmyth Asia supports Nasmyth’s international group sites as well as direct customers. The team have recently gained qualifications extending supply chain manufacturing approvals including AS9100D enabling them to support aerospace customers with qualified operational services.
Arun Saligrama, general manager of Nasmyth Asia, said: “With our new facility investments our Bangalore capabilities now include turning, milling and turn-mill as a full suite of machining services.”
Tony Upton, CEO of Nasmyth said: “Nasmyth understands that global programmes still require Asian manufacturing of parts. We are accelerating our investment to grow capability in the region and in India in particular. With the tried and trusted team we have now in place, we have been able to accelerate our investment, rapidly in-load existing work and win new projects in record times which indicates our ability to quickly support new programs with a range of manufacturing solutions.”
