Marshall has delivered its first AeroMedical Evacuation System (AMES) to the Bangladesh Air Force, described as a “significant engineering milestone” by the Cambridge-based aerospace company.

“As a product developed and delivered from start to finish by Marshall, AMES is a perfect showcase of our engineering leadership, our depth of platform knowledge and our enduring commitment to helping people in critical situations,” said Bob Baxter, Marshall chief growth officer.

AMES was developed by Marshall alongside medical experts and fleet operators, intended to be installed or removed in a matter of hours without any permanent aircraft modifications. It is compatible with the Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules and other tactical airlifters able to use 463L pallets, offering a highly cost-effective and flexible means of equipping aircraft with medevac capabilities.

In June 2024, the Bangladesh Air Force took delivery of its fifth and final C-130J Super Hercules, with the ex-UK MoD aircraft having undergone upgrade and preparation work by Marshall. The fleet will now be flown in humanitarian and peace-keeping missions around the world.
