Magnifica Air reveals 1st Airbus ACJ321neo aircraft ahead of 2027 launch
February 27, 2026
Florida-based start-up Magnifica Air has received the first Airbus ACJ321neo aircraft in its fleet, as it works toward a planned launch in 2027.
The airline unveiled a new livery at Orlando International Airport, painted on the first of four aircraft configured exclusively in what Magnifica describes as its new “Private Class” cabin category.
Magifica Air blends commercial first class and private aviation
Magnifica Air says its “Private Class” cabin bridges the traditional first class experience offered by commercial airlines and private jet travel, combining the privacy and exclusivity of business aviation with the safety standards and operations of a commercial airline.

Magnifica Air’s Co-Founder and CEO Wade Black said, “Private Class is not a product enhancement. It is a new cabin category built around how people want to travel today. Bringing our first aircraft into the fleet is a tangible step toward delivering that standard at scale.”
The newly delivered aircraft will now enter a 10-month interior completion phase, during which the new Private Class cabins will be fitted, designed to carry approximately 54 guests.
Magnifica Air’s new ACJ321neo is the first of four aircraft
Kevin Ketterer, Vice President of Technical Operations at Magnifica Air, described the delivery as “a defining operational milestone.”
“The arrival of our first ACJ321neo enables the launch of our maintenance and reliability programs, integrating predictive technologies and dedicated support services designed to deliver the level of consistency expected from a new cabin category,” he said.
The airline has previously outlined plans for a fleet of four aircraft for launch, with additional Airbus A220 and A321neo variants expected to follow as part of its broader growth strategy.

The ACJ321neo platform, powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW1133 geared turbofan engines, offers a maximum range of approximately 6,100 nautical miles. That gives the aircraft long-haul capability more commonly associated with dedicated corporate jets.
The PW1133 engines are part of Pratt & Whitney’s GTF family and are compatible with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The manufacturer promotes the engine series for its improved fuel efficiency, reduced noise footprint, and lower emissions compared with previous-generation narrowbody powerplants.
Combined with the A321neo’s aerodynamic refinements and lightweight construction, Magnifica Air says the aircraft supports its aim of operating with one of the lowest carbon footprints within its segment.
South Florida–New York will be Magnifica Air’s inaugural route
Magnifica Air expects to begin its operations in 2027, subject to certification and completion of cabin installation. The airline has identified South Florida–New York as its inaugural route, targeting a high-yield corridor traditionally served by both premium transcontinental services and private charter operators.
By configuring its aircraft for around 54 guests—significantly fewer than a standard A321neo layout—the airline is betting on sustained demand for premium travel, offering privacy, personal space and a more exclusive onboard environment.
Could a hybrid commercial and corporate aviation experience push airline domestic first class to the next level?
For now, the livery unveiling brings Magnifica Air from a novel premium air travel concept to a more tangible development. With interior completion underway and certification work ahead, the next 12 to 18 months will be critical to helping Magnifica Air’s proposed Private Class take off. Whether the carrier can carve out a viable new niche between scheduled premium airline travel and the private charter passenger experience remains to be determined.
Other commercial carriers, including the all-business class beOnd, have found success by targeting this specific traveller segment. Magnifica’s luxury service would need to prove popular on high-demand domestic routes before it could cut into major US airlines’ premium market segment. Still, if the start-up’s commercial operations can scale as well as the JSX public charter model has, the majors may rethink their domestic first class product, particularly in addressing privacy and exclusivity, to command an elevated airfare.
