Gulfstream’s G500 and G500 models have each surpassed 100,000 flight hours, the Savannah, Georgia-based manufacturer has announced, with more than 260 aircraft in service across the combined fleets.

“This achievement is a result of the strong demand and high flight activity we’re seeing from customers around the world. Having exceeded 100,000 flight hours further reiterates the durability and dependability of the G500 and G600,” said Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream.

The G500 entered service in September 2018, having gained FAA type and production certification in July of that year. The G600 received both certificates in June 2019, with delivery of the first type in August. Earlier this year, both the G500 and the G600 also received FAA steep approach certification, allowing the fleet to access even more locations.

The combined fleet also holds more than 90 city-pair speed records combined.
