Gulf Air to lease nine Airbus A320/A321neos from BOC Aviation

On 29 May 2025, Gulf Air announced it had signed a lease-agreement with BOC Aviation for nine additional Airbus A320/A321neos. These will comprise six A320neos and three A321neos. All aircraft will be equipped with CFM LEAP-1A engines and are scheduled for delivery from this year until 2027.
Dr Jeffrey Goh, the Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Air said that: “We are pleased to be able to enhance our fleet with these new aircraft, which will enable us to provide an even better travel experience for our passengers. This partnership with BOC Aviation underscores our commitment to modernising our operations and expanding our network.”
All nine aircraft are sourced from BOC’s existing order for the A320neo-family. Steven Townend, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of BOC Aviation said that: “As a global aircraft operating leasing company, we are proud to add Gulf Air as our customer. This transaction provides Gulf Air with nine technologically advanced aircraft that will deliver over a period of three years to support its fleet growth and demonstrates our ability to meet our customers’ financing needs.”
Currently, Gulf Air operates eight A320s, six A320neos, four A321-200s, and 14 A321neos, as well as ten Boeing B787-9s.
