Flynas launches 1st Middle-East football club-branded aircraft with Al Hilal partnership

Saudi low-cost carrier flynas has revealed an A320neo aircraft featuring Al Hilal Saudi FC’s colors and crest, under a four-season deal as the club’s official air carrier.

Saudi low-cost carrier flynas and Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal Saudi FC have together launched an A320neo aircraft fully wrapped in Al Hilal’s colours and identity.

The aircraft donning the new livery is an Airbus A320neo, which arrived at King Khalid International Airport (Riyadh) on 30 October 2025. The livery features Al Hilal’s signature blue colour scheme and club branding, and will operate under flynas’ role as the club’s “official air carrier.”

The Al-Hilal team’s first flight aboard its branded aircraft departed Riyadh for Doha on Sunday, November 2.

According to the airline’s announcement: “When not operating for Al-Hilal’s official travel, the aircraft will join flynas’ domestic and international network, offering passengers a unique travel experience.”

Flynas reaches out to football fans with new livery

For Al Hilal, the new livery elevates club branding beyond the pitch — placing the club’s identity in the skies, reaching fans and stakeholders in a novel way.

Flynas signed an exclusive sponsorship agreement with Al-Hilal Al-Saudi Club Company in September of last year to be the club’s official air carrier for four sports seasons till the end of the 2027-2028 season. The partnership aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to have the kingdom’s sports sector support the economy and tourism.

Flynas CEO Bander Almohanna and Al-Hilal Al-Saudi Club Company Chairman Fahad bin Saad bin Nafel signed the agreement in front of flynas Chairman Ayed Al Jeaid and other senior executives from both organisations.

“Our partnership with Al-Hilal Club is consistent with the company’s position as one of the 4 top low-cost airlines in the world and the best LCC in the Middle East,” said Almohanna, “as Al-Hilal Club has a remarkable track record of success locally and globally that aligns with the company’s strategy for growth, expansion and linking the world to the Kingdom, notably since our country has become a global destination for many sports, championships, and competitions hosted by KSA.”

The sports partnership and livery also position flynas as a lifestyle-oriented carrier connecting with the fanbase.

A low-cost experience for Al-Hilal players

While the flynas air service is a welcome addition to the team’s brand, it may be a bit of a letdown for Al Hilal players who have previously travelled on a VVIP Boeing 747‑400 owned by Prince Al‑Waleed bin Talal. Described by some as “the world’s most luxurious 747,” and known as the “Flying Palace,” the aircraft is registered as HZ-WBT7 and features well-equipped guest bedrooms, a formal dining room, and ample lounges.

The reveal of the admittedly more humble Al Hilal-branded flynas A320neo is effective sports branding for the carrier and a standout asset in the fleet. For the club, it is both convenient transport and a flying billboard to attract more fans.
