Atech, an Embraer Group company, has signed an agreement with the Brazilian Department of Airspace Control (DECEA) for the modernisation of the Brazilian air traffic control system; with the two contracts totalling $17 million.

The upgrades aim to “modernise control centres and upgrade strategic solutions for the management of national airspace flow,” explained Embraer. This modernisation will be achieved through the implementation of two solutions: SAGITARIO and SIGMA, both developed by Atech in collaboration with the Brazilian Airspace Control System Implentation Commission (CISCEA/DECEA).

“These contracts mark an important milestone for Atech and for the development of aerospace technology in Brazil,” explained Atech CEO Rodrigo Persico. “We believe that the modernised solutions will contribute significantly to the optimisation of Brazilian air traffic, benefitting passengers, airlines, and the aviation sector as a whole”.
