EasyJet is looking to the over 45s in its new cabin crew recruitment campaign.
Increase in older applicants
The airline has seen a 27 per cent increase in cabin crew over the age of 45 since 2018, including a 30 per cent increase in those over 60 in the last year.
This includes father Neil (59), who was inspired to follow daughter Holly’s (29) footsteps as easyJet cabin crew.
The new recruitment campaign by easyJet aims to show a career as cabin crew is open to anyone with the right skills, regardless of age.
Empty nesters encouraged
‘Empty nesters’, parents whose children have left the family home or have started their own careers, and anyone looking for a new career challenge later in life, are among those being encouraged to apply.
The campaign comes following recent research by easyJet which revealed that, in a survey of 2,000 British adults over 45, over three quarters (78 per cent) said that they would like to take on a new challenge once their children have flown the nest.
