Dubai Airshow 2025: Day 3 flying display brings big formations, fighter power and AAM innovation

The Dubai Airshow’s Day 3 flying programme delivers another high-energy afternoon of formation flypasts, aerobatic teams, commercial airliners and frontline fighter demonstrations, according to today’s schedule approved by Flight Control Committee Chairman Brigadier General Abdulnasir Al Hameedi.

The programme begins at 13:30 with a combined Fursan Al Emarat and flydubai flypast, an eight-minute opening that showcases national pride in military and commercial flight. Immediately afterwards, one of the day’s biggest military highlights takes over as the Russian Knights begin a 30-minute display at 13:38, bringing their signature Sukhoi formation aerobatics back to Dubai’s skies.

At 14:08, the U.S. Air Force F-16 begins a 10-minute tactical routine, followed by another extended team demonstration as Marche Verte flies from 14:18 to 14:48. China’s commercial contender, the COMAC C919, returns at 14:48 with an eight-minute appearance before the Airbus A400M performs a four-minute flypast at 14:56.
The fighter segment intensifies at 15:00 with an eight-minute performance by the Sukhoi Su-57. The Extra 330 follows with aerobatic manoeuvres at 15:08, before the Dassault Rafale takes over at 15:21.
Commercial aviation returns at 15:32 with the Airbus A350, followed immediately by the UAE Air Force F-16 at 15:41. India’s Surya Kiran aerobatic team launches into a 30-minute performance at 15:50, offering one of the longest displays of the day.
Advanced air mobility takes centre stage at 16:20 with a 10-minute flying demonstration from Joby Aviation, continuing the airshow’s strong focus on electric air taxi technology. At 16:30, the Mirage 2000-9 begins a nine-minute routine before the programme concludes with the Baltic Bees, who fly a 25-minute display from 16:39 until 17:04.
In total, today’s Day 3 programme runs 3 hours and 34 minutes, offering an exciting display of military power, formation aerobatics, commercial innovation, and the new era of electric aviation.
