Cameroon’s civil aviation authority (CCAA) has launched its first aviation training course through the University of Yaounde I and the National Advanced School of Engineering in Yaounde (NASEY).
The certification course was launched on 14 November, with training provided in aircraft maintenance and recycling.
The programme is divided into two phases: a theoretical phase with tutorials and a practical phase lasting six months.

A three-month internship will follow allowing the participants to become familiar with their new working environment.
Since its inception in 2016, the CCAA training provider has already delivered more than 4,500 certificates in civil aviation security and other civil aviation security specialties.
In the short term, the CCAA envisages launching training courses on air transport regulation; air transport economics; air transport company certification; airport certification; animal risk management, and safety studies.
