Avia Solutions Group has reported a revenue of €1.2 billion for the first six months of 2024, a 29% year-on-year increase, and reflecting the ongoing demand for leased passenger aircraft.

The Dublin-based group is the world’s largest ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) provider, operating a 214-strong fleet comprised of 174 passenger aircraft and 40 freighters. “Our performance over the first half of 2024 underscores our strong market position and ability to meet the rising demand for passenger aircraft,” explained CEO Jonas Janukenas, who added that “our 44% growth in net profit for the second quarter is a testament to… the trust our airline partners place in us”.

During the first half of 2024, European customers accounted for 55.1% of revenues, with Asia taking second place at 27.9% and the Americas in third at 11.8%. With plans to further expand its global presence (particularly during peak seasons), Avia Solutions Group is planning to obtain air operator certificates (AOCs) in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Brazil “in the near future”; augmenting the 68 countries it currently serves.

The acquisition of Australian-based Skytrans in the first half of the year is further evidence of the group’s ongoing expansion strategy, with the obtained AOC bringing the total number of certificates held by the group to 11. “We will continue to expand our worldwide service operations, fleet capacity and capabilities to continue delivering exceptional service across passenger and cargo operations to customers,” concluded Janukenas.
