Avelo Airlines has delivered the highest US on-time performance score for May 2024 alongside securing the lowest monthly cancellation rate, the second straight month Evelo has led the industry in both metrics.
According to results compiled by aviation data services company Anuvu, the low-cost carrier also climbed to prime position for its on-time performance throughout the first five months of 2024. It also maintained the second-lowest flight cancellation rate among all US carriers during this period.
The airline’s 0.1% May flight cancellation rate was far ahead of the industry average of 1.4%, with only two Avelo flights cancelled out of May’s total 1,504 services.
Avelo Airlines founder and CEO Andrew Levy said the carrier’s 2024 on-time leadership was “substantial validation” towards its goal of building the industry’s most reliable airline. “As we head into the busy summer season, our customers can have the peace of mind knowing they are placing their trust in the industry leader in operational reliability,” he concluded.
