The summit’s opening panel discussion addressed the head-on challenges of delivering Britain’s fourth industrial revolution, and it isn’t all about robots and digital.
For a show focused on digitising the manufacturing process, there was a lot of talk about skills and people. It’s critical that the industry develops good talent throughout organisations to embrace the future – because it’s coming fast.
Where to start?
Industry 4.0 technology, including 3d printing and augmented and virtual reality, are being adopted across aerospace and defence as a way of reducing development time and increasing productivity.
