Unwavering demand for the G500 and G600 as Gulfstream marks 300th delivery
November 28, 2024
Underscoring the global demand for its G500 and G600 aircraft, Gulfstream has celebrated the 300th delivery of the large-cabin business jets.
“Thanks to investments from our parent company, General Dynamics, these aircraft continue to achieve new milestones as customer demand remains steadfast,” said Mark Burns, Gulfstream’s president. “Delivering 300 aircraft is a clear indication of strong interest in the G500 and G600 around the world.”
The aircraft have been purposefully designed to increase manufacturing efficiencies by incorporating common design featured across Gulfstream’s next-generation fleet, which includes the G400, G700 and G800. All are powered by the Gulfstream Symmetry Flight Deck designed by Honeywell, which incorporates industry-leading technology, including the first-ever active control sidesticks and an extensive array of touch-screen technology. The flight decks are further enhanced with Phase-of-Flight intelligence, improving situational awareness and safety.
“The efficiencies established by this programme have provided us with the flexibility to expand our production line, supporting the success of our next-generation fleet well into the future,” added Burns.
Powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW800 engines, both the G500 and G600 feature a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.925. The G500 has a range of 4,500nm at Mach 0.90 or 5,300nm at Mach 0.85, while the G600 can fly 6,600nm at Mach 0.85 or 5,600nm at Mach 0.90.
While both aircraft were officially unveiled in 2014, the G500 first entered into service in 2018 and the G600 in 2019. In June this year, Gulfstream confirmed that both aircraft types had surpassing 100,000 flight hours
Featuring award-winning seat and cabin designs, both aircraft can seat up to 19 passengers.
