Universal Avionics upgrades extend business jet lifespans
Universal Avionics (UA) has introduced major enhancements to its InSight Flight Display System and ClearVision Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS).
The company says it is aiming to raise safety standards in business aviation by improving pilot situational awareness and extending the operational lifespan of aircraft by up to 20 years with the technology.
The InSight Display System, certified across eight business jet models, replaces outdated Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays with high-resolution glass cockpit screens that provide navigation, terrain and weather data.
Dror Yahav, CEO of Universal Avionics, said: “Our integrated systems and connected cockpit solutions are designed to bring aging aircraft up to modern standards, addressing the challenges posed by outdated avionics.
“With our InSight Display System and ClearVision EFVS retrofits, aircraft can continue to operate safely and comply with current regulations, all while achieving the capabilities and performance of new models.
“These sustainable upgrades effectively extend the lifespan of aircraft, as avionics are typically the first elements needing replacement.
“By delivering future-ready retrofit solutions, Universal is leading industry innovation, helping operators save on costs, time, and the challenges associated with aging technology.”
