Turkish Airlines sets world record for flying to most countries

Turkish Airlines has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records for flying to more countries than any other airline, cementing its status as the most globally connected carrier.
The record for the “Most Countries Flown to by an Airline” was confirmed during a ceremony at Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Chile, following the airline’s inaugural flight to the country. Executives from Turkish Airlines and officials from Guinness World Records were in attendance to mark the milestone.
Guinness World Records verified that Turkish Airlines currently operates flights to 120 countries, based on active routes over the past year. This figure underscores the airline’s unparalleled reach in connecting passengers across continents.
When including temporarily suspended routes and the newly launched service to Chile, the airline’s flight network spans an impressive 131 countries, further solidifying its dominance in global aviation.
Turkish Airlines has unofficially held the title of flying to the most countries since 2012, but this recognition marks the first time the record has been officially certified.
As Türkiye’s national flag carrier continues to expand its network, its record-breaking achievement highlights its role as a key player in connecting the world through aviation.
