TAP Air Portugal is set to resume flights between Lisbon and Manaus having ended the previous service back in 2016.

The three weekly flights will operate from 4 November on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and will feature a stop in Belém.

The new service, which ran for two years before its previous cancellation, means the airline will offer 15 routes from Portugal to Brazil with 13 from Lisbon and two from Porto.

TAP CEO Luís Rodrigues said: “Brazil is strategic for TAP and the return of flights to Manaus highlights our commitment to invest in the development of our operations in the country.

“We recently launched a new route to Florianópolis and we will end this year with at least 15 routes to Brazil; a record number for the airline.

“Our aim is to bring more tourists to Brazil, not just from Portugal but from all over the world.

“TAP flies to more than 60 destinations in Europe and Africa, which can be flown by Brazilians via Lisbon and Porto.

“With TAP resuming flights to Manaus, we will continue to be the leading international airline in Brazil.”
