Swiss WorldCargo celebrates rekindled partnership with Globe Air Cargo Bulgaria

October 8, 2024

Since resuming their dormant 16-year contract in June, the two companies are now working more closely than ever.
The long-standing agreement between Swiss WorldCargo, which specialises in the transport of high-value, care-intensive and temperature-sensitive cargo and Globe Air Cargo Bulgaria – a cargo handler and services provider, originally dates to back to 2008. The two companies resinstated their long-standing collaboration earlier this year following a six-year hiatus.
“Our joint contract was never terminated during all this time,” explained Globe Air Cargo Bulgaria managing director, Tania Mlechenkova. “It was clear from our initial face-to-face tender meeting, 16 years ago, that our two companies share a strong common interest in providing exceptional customer service through long-term stability and expertise. That is the credo we follow.”
Freight handling expertise
Mlechenkova who was hired as the first employee of Globe Air Cargo Bulgaria in 2004, is credited with establishing the company’s operations in the region from the ground up.
She added that “special cargo shipments require particular care and professional attention. Global Air Cargo has the expertise to handle these needs efficiently and precisely.” To further strengthen its capabilities and ensure dedicated support to Swiss World Cargo, Mlechenkova confirmed that a new fully-trained team member has been added to the team.
Operating an A220 service between Zurich in Switzerland and Sofia in Bulgaria, Swiss WorldCargo offers Bulgarian freight forwarders connections across Europe, North and South America, as well as the Far East.
Gieri Hinnen, head of cargo global sales at Swiss WorldCargo added: “Our expertise in transporting shipments that require extra care and the high quality of our services is reflected in the high quality work of the partners we collaborate with.”
He reiterated this is also the case for Global Air Cargo, as he stated, “we are glad to re-establish our partnership for a continuous and consistent service to our customers.”
