Scoot has signed a Pool Program services agreement with Embraer to support its fleet of nine E190-E2 aircraft.
The pool program agreement will enable Scoot to access component exchanges and repair services for more than 300 repairable parts, minimising its upfront investment in high-value repairable inventories and resources.
Ng Chee Keong, COO, Scoot said, “This strategic arrangement with Embraer will minimise maintenance delays for the E190-E2, essentially boosting operational readiness.”
Scoot will receive its first batch of E190-E2 aircraft in 2024. The airline will also benefit from the AHEAD (Aircraft Health Analysis and Diagnosis), which comprises early detection capabilities for critical systems, reducing technical interruptions and avoiding flight cancellations.
Carlos Naufel, President and CEO, Embraer services and support, commented, “Working hand in hand with Scoot, we are gearing up for the E190-E2 entry into service next year. We are leveraging on Singapore’s solid aviation ecosystem, and we look forward to Embraer’s modern, fuel-efficient E190-E2 take the skies in Scoot’s livery.”
According to Embraer, the E-Jets E2 family of aircraft, including the E190-E2 has the longest maintenance intervals in the single-aisle jet category – with 10,000 flight hours for basic checks and no calendar limit for typical E-Jet operations. This enables the aircraft to be operated with minimal downtime.
