Raya Airways unveils new livery

May 29, 2025

The new-to-Raya aircraft is white overall, with ‘above+beyond’ in dark blue (the plus in orange) in large letters on the fuselage, orange nacelles and a ‘segmented’ empennage in blue, orange and grey. RAYA appears in a smaller font between the entrance door and the cargo door.
The first aircraft painted in the new colour scheme is Boeing 767-232BDSF, 9M-RXE (c/n 22218). This 40-year old ex-passenger aircraft is new to Raya, having been delivered to Subang in March 2025 to be prepared for the airline. It hasn’t yet conducted its first revenue earning flight.
The aircraft is joining a fleet of three Airbus A321-200P2F/PCFs, and four Boeing 767-200BDSFs, although one of the 757s is currently parked. Raya Airways is in the midst of a re-branding exercise and it is expected that the whole fleet will eventually be re-painted.
The airline was established in November 1993 as Transmile Air – the only dedicated intra-Asian overnight express cargo operator in Malaysia. Transmile became Raya Airways in 2014.
Today Raya Airways offers a mixture of scheduled and ad-hoc charters to domestic and global destinations, specialising in time-sensitive and specialised cargo.
The airline won a new contract with DHL and began a new charter route between Penang, Malaysia and Hong Kong in 2024, operating five times a week for the express parcels company. Raya Airways also operates charter services between Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, and between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore for DHL.
