Embraer delivered a total of 62 aircraft in the third quarter of 2025, marking a steady increase over both the previous quarter and the same period last year.

The total surpasses the 59 jets delivered in 3Q24 and 61 in 2Q25, reflecting continued strength across the company’s commercial and executive aviation divisions.

Embraer marks another impressive quarter

Commercial Aviation contributed 20 aircraft to the quarterly total, with more than half (11 units) accounted for by the E195-E2, Embraer’s largest passenger jet currently in production.

The unit outperformed its 2Q25 and 3Q24 figures, which were 19 and 16 deliveries respectively, signalling growing demand for regional jets.

Embraer Executive Jets delivered 41 aircraft during the quarter, matching its 3Q24 performance and surpassing the 38 jets delivered in 2Q25.

The highlight of the quarter was the Phenom 300, the fastest light jet in production and market leader for 13 consecutive years, with 20 units delivered.

Comparing year-on-year performance highlights Embraer’s steady growth trajectory.

In 3Q24, deliveries included 16 commercial jets, 41 executive jets, and 2 KC-390 units.

That represented a 26% increase over 2Q24 and a 37% rise from 3Q23, when the company delivered 43 aircraft (15 commercial, 28 executive).

Virgin Australia and Airlink among Embraer’s customers

Notable recent deliveries in the last quarter include Virgin Australia, which became the first major Australian airline to operate the Embraer E190-E2, following the delivery of the aircraft from lessor Azorra at Embraer’s headquarters in São José dos Campos at the start of September.

The new-generation 100-seat jet marks the beginning of Virgin Australia Regional Airlines’ (VARA) fleet renewal programme.

The aircraft named ‘Coral Bay’ was the 1,900th Embraer E-jet.

Airlink also took delivery of its first Embraer E195-E2, the very first of the type to operate in South Africa.

The aircraft landed in Johannesburg last month after a ferry flight from Brazil.

From Embraer’s home in São José dos Campos (SJK), the aircraft, with tail number ZS-ARF, flew directly to Cape Town (CPT).

Large orders for the Embraer E2

Embraer has also notched up several large orders in the three-month period.

LATAM Airlines Group announced a major fleet investment with Embraer, signing an agreement for up to 74 E195-E2 regional jets as part of its strategy to expand connectivity across South America.

The order comprises 24 firm deliveries and 50 purchase options, with the first aircraft set to arrive in the second half of 2026.

Deliveries will initially support LATAM Airlines Brazil, with the possibility of allocation to other affiliates within the group at a later stage.

According to LATAM, the acquisition opens the opportunity to add as many as 35 new destinations to its current 160-strong network, significantly enhancing travel options within the continent. The firm order is valued at around $2.1 billion at list prices.

Avelo has also placed a firm order for 50 Embraer E195-E2s with purchase rights for a further 50, a transaction valued at $4.4 billion at list prices (purchase rights excluded).

The aircraft are scheduled to begin arriving in the first half of 2027, with deliveries expected to run through to 2032.

The airline says the E2s will complement its Boeing 737NGs initially, with performance benefits that open up short-runway and constrained airports.

With this order, Avelo is set to become the first US airline to fly Embraer’s new narrowbody. Porter Airlines was the first airline in North America to fly the E2.

Looking ahead, Embraer forecasts annual deliveries in Commercial Aviation of 77–85 aircraft in 2025, with a midpoint about 10% higher than 2024.

Executive Aviation deliveries are projected at 145–155 jets, representing a midpoint 15% above the previous year.

With a firm order backlog previously reported at $22.7 billion in 3Q24, a nine-year high, Embraer enters the final quarter of 2025 well-positioned to capitalise onsustained regional jet demand.
