LYNEports named winner of £5,000 Aerospace Xelerated Startup Pitch Competition
Aerospace Xelerated has declared a Romanian advanced air mobility (AAM) company as the winner of its Startup Pitch Competition.
A Romanian company specialising in AAM planning solutions, LYNEports, has been selected as the winner of this year’s Aerospace Xelerated Startup Pitch Competition.
LYNEports, which was awarded a £5,000 prize, was among five other finalists shortlisted for the award. The founder’s strong pitch, product potential and ability to make a difference in the sector were highlighted as being behind the win.
“We appreciate the opportunity and look forward to using this platform and the reward to further our mission of merging airspace and ground space to be more inclusive and bring the next generation of travel and aviation in a safe and sustainable way into our cities and communities,” said LYNEports CEO and founder, Rasha Alshami.
Other finalists included Eddytec, Estuaire, Sora Aviation, OneGrab and Flux Aviation, with a total of 20 startups participating in the competition, six of which are UK-based, nine are female founded and 10 are working on sustainability-focused solutions.
Commenting on the number of female-founded startups, Aerospace Xelerated programme director, Jacqueline Davidson, said: “Having 50% participation rate of female-founded companies is a powerful indicator of the strides we are making towards gender diversity in aerospace. These women-led startups are not only breaking barriers but also driving innovation within the industry.”
The start-up competition was part of the Farnborough International Airshow’s first-ever dedicated Startup Zone.
