Lufthansa Technik to perform Pegasus A320 family base maintenance
Pegasus Airlines has selected Lufthansa Technik to perform its A320 family base maintenance services, with a multi-year agreement incorporating more than 60 aircraft checks.
A dedicated overhaul line at Lufthansa Technik Sofia in Bulgaria will oversee services on the Turkish airline’s A320ceo, A320neo and A321neo aircraft for the next three years. This dedicated facility means that Pegasus Airlines is now “optimally positioned for the coming years,” explained Serife Akin, senior purchasing director at Pegasus Airlines.
“We already have a close and trustful collaboration with Pegasus Airlines, which enables us to respond individually to their needs,” added Marcus Motschenbacher, vice president and chief commercial officer of aircraft maintenance services at Lufthansa Technik. “We are pleased to offer our customers a top-quality service and to make a valuable contribution to ensuring the stability of their flight operations with reliable overhauls”.
The new contract marks the first ever multi-year base maintenance service agreement between the two partners, building on shorter collaborations concerning landing gear servicing.
