This week’s long-haul flight schedule changes from Europe: What you need to know
December 13, 2025
Each week, Aerospace Global News takes a look at some of the long-haul route changes to and from Europe, all of which are subject to further adjustments.
The key highlights this week include several new routes including an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin and Pittsburgh that has seemingly been in the works for some time now.
Flights between Manchester and Tashkent will also launch this summer, operated by Uzebek carrier, Centrum Air.
Other relevant changes include possible cuts to JetBlue’s transatlantic operation – though this has not been confirmed just yet and all services are still available for booking.
Finally, in other interesting developments, Alaska Airlines has opened bookings for its long-awaited Seattle to London Heathrow route. Air Canada has also revised its planned Palma de Mallorca launch, partially moving away from the Airbus A321XLR.
This week’s schedule changes
Using data from aviation analytics firm Cirium, the below is a non-exhaustive list of developments this week. For readability purposes, adjustments that extend to a large part or the entirety of the 2026 summer season have been listed as ‘S26’.
Long-haul is defined as flights over 3,000 miles, meaning not all Europe to non-Europe flights are included, but only those that meet the threshold.
The sample was selected based on relevance and market trends, and does not include smaller changes such as minor aircraft changes with a limited impact on capacity. As always, schedules are subject to change. And, as we have seen in previous editions, they do.
North Atlantic
- JetBlue removes Amsterdam to New York-JFK flights in S26. These are still available for booking and Aerospace Global News has reached out to the company for clarification.
- Air France reduces Paris Charles de Gaulle to Denver flights from 5x to 3x weekly from mid-June onwards.
- Air Canada removes 4x weekly Airbus A321XLR on flights to Palma de Mallorca and switches to a 3x weekly Boeing 787-8. More below.

JetBlue appears to remove Amsterdam to New York flights
According to Cirium schedules, JetBlue has filed the removal of its flights between Amsterdam Schiphol and New York-JFK.
All its daily flights operate with its Airbus A321neo equipment.According to the airline’s booking systems, the flights to Amsterdam are still available for booking.
Information from the US Department of Transportation show that loads on its flights have historically been reasonable, though this says very little about yields or overall performance.

Loads reached an average of 79% between January and August 2025. Although reasonable, this was far lower than the 86% achieved by Delta Air Lines and the 88% by partner KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
Air Canada switches A321XLR route to the 787
Air Canada is switching out one of its first Airbus A321XLR routes, to Palma de Mallorca. Instead of flying four weekly using that aircraft, it will switch to a 3x weekly Boeing 787 operation ultimately maintaining similar levels of capacity.
The route launches on 17 June, and will begin using A321XLR equipment. From July, though, this switches to the Dreamliner. All things considered, Air Canada will fly only eight flights each way on the narrowbody jet.
Centrum Air adds Manchester flights
Centrum Air has announced that it will be launching twice-weekly flights between Tashkent and Manchester. It will be the first airline to offer service on the sector since at least 2003, Cirium data shows.

It is also reportedly considering flights to Barcelona.
