ITP Aero has signed a three-year maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) contract with Air Nostrum Engineering & Maintenance (ANEM) to support General Electric CT7-9C3 engines that power the CN235 aircraft used by SASEMAR, Spain’s Sea Rescue Service.
The CT7-9C3 engines, which power SASEMAR’s CN-235 fleet, deliver about 5% more baseline power than previous models, with optimised performance in hot and high-altitude environments. These advancements are due to an upgraded centrifugal compressor, which completed certification testing last year.
The maintenance work will be performed at ITP Aero’s facility in Albacete, Spain.
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Air Nostrum, as part of GE Aerospace’s in-service engine community for CT7 engines,” said Alan Jones, executive director of MRO.
“This is another milestone that allows us to continue with the execution of ITP Aero’s strategic MRO growth roadmap, driving the expansion of our commercial aftermarket services and the operational excellence of our maintenance and repair capabilities.”
