iJet pre-orders ten Crisalion eVTOL aircraft
Private jet charter provider iJet has placed a pre-order for ten Crisalion Integrity aircraft, with the partnership to facilitate new regional connectivity in the Spanish region of Andalusia.
The pre-sale of ten aircraft reflects a “clear commitment to operational innovation and paving the way for more accessible, efficient transportation,” said iJet, which will also designate routes “connecting key hotspots in Malaga and its surroundings, offering unprecedented access to some of the region’s most important landmarks”.
Proposed routes (predominately focusing on the tourism sector) include links to hotel complexes in the region, inland connections to Ronda and Gilbraltar and connections to North Africa. Mala Costa del Sol International Airport is also being considered as a base.
Crisalion’s high-wing, lift-and-cruise-configured eVTOL is projected to carry five passengers (and a pilot) up to around 100km. It is powered by the company’s proprietary ‘FlyFree’ propulsion system, utilising multiple rotor units attached on booms beneath the wings.
