Raytheon Technologies today signed five memorandum of understanding (MoU) with five UAE companies at IDEX today, demonstrating its continued commitment to the ‘Made in UAE’ initiative.

The company announced an agreement for local production of the Coyote unmanned aircraft system by Tawazun.

Raytheon now does between $800 million and $1 billion of business in the region annually, building on 50 years working in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Education for success

Jeff Shockey, Raytheon Technologies’ senior vice president for global government relations, said partnerships in the region are ‘key’ for the necessary resources and education for success, as well as a willingness to train and invest in its workforce and infrastructure.

“We are working in concert with the US Government and our customers in the Middle East to build the tight partnerships that will ensure our mutual success,” Shockey said.
