Future Flight Global to buy up to 116 Archer Midnight aircraft
Advanced air transportation startup Future Flight Global is to purchase up to 116 Archer Midnight aircraft, worth up to $580 million, underscored by an upcoming pre-delivery payment of nearly $5 million.
Future Flight Global (which has been in development for three years) was founded by, amongst others, former Titan Aviation CEO Karan Singh; drawing on the business jet operator’s two decades plus of experience. “Midnight’s versatility makes it well-suited to diverse routes and mission profiles, while also providing a world-class experience and operational efficiency that’s attractive to our corporate clients,” explained Singh.
Together, the two companies will collaborate on ecosystem development, infrastructure, regulatory engagement and demand generation; with Future Flight Global to initially operate select routes within Archer’s planned air taxi service. The two ultimately intend to operate flights (via a joint venture initiative) in markets across the globe, including Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
“This new agreement both grows our prospective order book to nearly $6 billion, and opens up archer’s global reach to premium international markets,” explained Andrew Cummins, director of business development at Archer. “As our first private aviation partner, and with their deep ties in aviation and bold approach, [Future Flight Global] is positioned to be a new leader in modern aviation”.
