Four-day strike to impact Discover Airlines this week

Lufthansa subsidiary Discover Airlines is braced for a four-day strike, scheduled to occurred between 27 and 30 August, after flight deck and cabin crew from two trade unions voted to take industrial action.
Trade union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) – the professional association of cockpit personnel in Germany – stated that the aim of its action is to “have the Cockpit Association conclude a collective wage agreement and a collective agreement for the cockpit personnel stationed n Germany” at the airline.
The Unabhängige Flugbegleiter Organisation (UFO), which represents cabin crew, is also involved in the strike; scheduled to commence at midnight tomorrow. Discover Airlines added that it is “working to minimise the impact on [its] guests as much as possible”.
