Finnair unveils new Embraer 190 cabin
Finnair has unveiled a newly revamped cabin design for its short-haul Embraer 190 fleet.
The first aircraft to undergo the transformation, registered as OH-LKH, returned to service this week following a refit at Exeter Airport.
The updated cabin design brings Nordic-inspired aesthetics similar to those seen on Finnair’s long-haul aircraft and Helsinki lounges, the carrier said.
The refurbished interior maintains the 100-seat capacity while offering two distinct seat types for business and economy class.
The airline plans to update seven of its E190s by this winter, with the remainder of the 12-aircraft fleet set for completion by spring 2026.
Eerika Enne, Finnair head of inflight customer experience, said: “After receiving positive feedback following the rollout of our new long-haul cabin, we wanted to invest in our regional aircraft to further improve comfort on flights within Europe.
“Our aim was to create a harmonious, fresh and inviting travel environment for our customers, with dark blue and grey colours and a hint of wooden laminate – colours our customers now associate with Finnair.
“We look forward to welcoming customers onboard our newly refurbished aircraft in the coming months, and with new lighter seats and cabins, we know these aircraft will help Finnair fly into the future.”
