Etihad steps up services to Asia’s first dedicated freighter hub

Etihad Cargo has solidified its presence at Ezhou Huahu Airport, Asia’s first dedicated freighter hub, with 329 flights and charters connecting the site to Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport since its inaugural flight in August 2023.
The move underlines Etihad’s commitment to serving industries such as pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, and perishable goods.
Ezhou Huahu Airport has proven to be a strategic base for Etihad, enabling the transportation of over 18,700 tonnes of exports and 400 tonnes of imports through Abu Dhabi.
The addition of a sixth weekly flight in July 2024 and plans for a seventh in 2025 have strengthened connectivity between Asia, Europe, and other global markets.
The airport’s recent IATA CEIV Pharma certification enhances its ability to handle specialised cargo, particularly pharmaceuticals, ensuring high-quality service standards.
By expanding its operations at Ezhou Huahu, Etihad Cargo continues to play a pivotal role in linking Abu Dhabi to key trade routes, driving efficient logistics solutions for businesses worldwide.
