Emirates further expands A350 network

Emirates has unveiled the next seven cities set to be served by its new Airbus A350 aircraft.

Emirates has unveiled the next seven cities set to be served by its new Airbus A350 aircraft.

The expansion will see the A350 introduced across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

The latest A350 routes will begin as follows:

  • Tunis: Emirates will operate the A350 six times weekly on flight EK 747/748 starting 1 June.
  • Amman: Daily service on EK 905/906 will commence on 1 June.
  • Istanbul: Emirates’ A350 will launch on flight EK 117/118, operating daily from 1 July.
  • Dammam: Saudi Arabia will see the A350’s debut on 1 July, flying daily on EK 827/828.
  • Ho Chi Minh City: The aircraft will enter Southeast Asia with daily flights on EK 364/365 from 1 August.
  • Baghdad: Emirates will fly the A350 three times weekly on EK 941/942 starting 3 August.
  • Oslo: Daily A350 operations will begin on EK 159/160 from 1 September.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates Airline, said: “Our strategic A350 expansion across diverse geographies in the Middle East/GCC, Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia leverages the aircraft’s operational flexibility and efficiency, while offering more customers expanded premium travel options and the opportunity to experience our latest generation interiors like Business Class and Premium Economy along with plenty of thoughtful touches throughout every cabin, now available in more cities than ever before.”

He added: “The introduction of this aircraft and layering it on existing route schedules also enables Emirates to maintain a compelling competitive position as the airline of choice for discerning travellers looking for a unique slate of connectivity options and elevated onboard experiences they can’t have with any other carrier.”

Additional routes are expected to be announced soon, including long-haul destinations.

Bahrain will see an expanded A350 presence, with the third daily EK 835/836 flight from 1 June, making it a nearly all-A350 operation. Kuwait will gain a second A350 flight on the daily EK 857/858 starting 1 October.

Bologna will also welcome the aircraft earlier than planned, with its first A350 flight now scheduled for 1 June.
