ECIP offers multiple advantages to customers. First, the majority of inventory investment is made by Embraer, substantially reducing customer investment. In addition, the fixed annual price for each part allows customers to balance costs with greater precision and with performance levels guaranteed by Embraer Services & Support. The operation is data-driven, with weekly order recommendations based on customer usage and inventory level data. Recommendations are created using advanced software and the collaborative expertise of Embraer Planning. Finally, all customers participating in ECIP can count on Embraer’s expertise in material management in a customized and flexible solution for spare parts management.
Embraer will support the 13 E-Jets that form part of the Kenya Airways’ fleet. Kenya Airways has been an Embraer customer since 2006 and flies to 45 destinations worldwide, 37 of them in Africa, connecting more than five million passengers.
Carlos Naufel, President and CEO, Embraer Services & Support said that: “Embraer is honoured by Kenya Airways’ trust in our Collaborative Inventory Planning program management system. We are ready to support the airline in keeping its E-Jets ready to fly, through a program that combines excellent performance and low operating costs. In addition, our solution will provide Kenya Airways with access to Embraer’s global logistics network and deepen the partnership between our companies.”
