With Paris Air Show looming next month, Deutsche Aircraft has confirmed that it will be showcasing a mock-up of its 40-seater turboprop, the D328eco, at the event.

The announcement coincides with the German aircraft manufacturer’s upcoming roll out of its first test aircraft, the designated TAC 1, which is due to be unveiled on 28 May. This marks the transition of the D328eco from development to industrialisation, a project that has been worked on intensively for the past few years.

Earlier this month, Deutsche Aircraft celebrate a cornerstone ceremony for the final assembly line of the next-generation regional aircraft at Liepzig/ Halle Airport in Germany.

By the end of 2025, a CO2-neutral manufacturing facility, a commissioning hangar, a logistics centre and an administrative building will be constructed on the 60,500 sq. m. site at the regional airport. In the future it is anticipated that 250 to 350 additional employees will build up to 48 aircraft annually at the new facility.

Speaking at the cornerstone ceremony at the beginning of May, Nico Neumann, Co-CEO of Deutsche Aircraft said: “We are bringing the development of a regional aircraft, based on the DNA of Dornier, entirely back to Germany.”

He was joined by Botz Ahmelmann, CEO of Mitteldeutsche Flughafen, who added that with the production line now complete, “The D328eco will set standards in terms of climate-friendly production and environmentally friendly flying.”

The mock-up being showcased at Paris will build on Deutsche Aircraft’s success at the Farnborough International Airshow in 2024 with an immersive space offering interactive simulations. Visitors will be able to experience the innovative features of the D328eco, including its low-emission propulsion system, modular cabin layout, advanced avionics and ergonomic seating.
