Bristow Group has opened two new operating bases in Brazil. brings the Company’s total number of bases in Brazil to five and the total number of helicopters operating countrywide to 15, with two additional helicopters available on standby and a third expected to be available in August. Bristow currently has 300 employees supporting its business across the country.
The newest bases are located at Eurico de Aguiar Salles Airport in Vitória, Espírito Santo, and Farol de São Thomé, Rio de Janeiro. They add to a network of operating facilities that includes Cabo Frio, Macaé, and Jacarepaguá.
New commitments
“As the Brazilian subsidiary of the largest provider of offshore energy transportation services in the world, we are proud to increase our local operations and continue to provide the safe and reliable service for which Bristow has long been known in Brazil. These newest bases in Vitória and Farol de São Thomé better enable us to serve our customers and deliver on our newest commitments in Brazil,” said Brazil Area Manager Marcos Toledo. “In two years, Bristow has gone from six to 15 dedicated helicopters in country.”
Bristow in Brazil currently operates a modern fleet of 15 dedicated AW139s and three additional helicopters on standby. In addition to offering vertical flight solutions for offshore exploration, development and production activities, Bristow provides MEDEVAC, charter flights and flight support for various energy service providers in the region.
