Boeing February 2025 orders & deliveries

March 12, 2025

Boeing has released its order and delivery figures for the second month of this year. In February 2025 (only the second month of full production since last year’s strike), Boeing booked orders for 13 aircraft, had eight cancellations, and was able to deliver 44 new aircraft.
This was one fewer order than achieved by rival Airbus, but on the delivery front, at least, this represented four more aircraft than were delivered by Airbus.
The new orders were all for 737MAX aircraft, five of them for BOC Aviation, the remaining eight for undisclosed customers. The cancellations included five B737MAXs by Arajet, and one by an undisclosed customer. Two Boeing 777Fs were cancelled by Western Global Airlines.
February’s deliveries included 31 737MAX aircraft, two Boeing 767-300Fs, and two Boeing 777Fs. Boeing also delivered four 787-9s, a single 787-10, three KC-46As to the US Air Force, and one P-8A to the German Navy.
The 40 commercial airliners put Boeing neck and neck with Airbus in February, with fewer narrowbodies, but six more widebodies. Widebodies are a market segment in which Boeing has traditionally done better than Airbus, with January proving an exception to this ‘rule’.
Boeing’s over-reliance on the 737MAX continues, with no new orders for any of the companies widebodies including the much-delayed 777X.
The 31 737MAX deliveries in February included single examples to the following airlines: 9 Air, AerCap, Aviation Capital Group, China Eastern Airlines, Jackson Square Aviation, Jeju Air and Ryanair. Allegiant Air, BOC Aviation, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, and Xiamen Air each took a pair of 737MAXs, while American Airlines took three, and Air India Express and United Airlines each received four. Air Lease Corporation received five 737MAXs.
Boeing still hopes to reach a rate of 38 new-build MAXs per month — the current cap imposed by the Federal Aviation Administration — “later this year” and then to get FAA approval to go to an even higher rate (initially 42 aircraft per month) once it has proven that production is meeting the mandated quality standards.
Alongside these 31 737MAX deliveries, Boeing delivered two Boeing 767-300Fs, one each to FedEx and UPS and two Boeing 777F freighters, one each to Air China Cargo and China Southern Airlines. The four Boeing 787-9s delivered this month went to China Eastern Airlines, EVA Air, Juneyao Airlines and United Airlines, while the single 787-10 went to Air Lease Corporation.
