Electric air taxi manufacturer AutoFlight has signed a deal with Wuhan’s Hanyang District, securing an order for 12 eVTOL aircraft.
The agreement covers two models, the CarryAll autonomous aircraft and the five-seater Prosperity, with advance payments already in place.
As part of the partnership, Hanyang District – an urban area where the Yangtze and Han Rivers meet – will establish a Low-Altitude Full-Scenario Demonstration Centre.
The facility will trial uncrewed eVTOL operations for emergency response, firefighting, and regional logistics. In later phases, passenger air taxi services and sightseeing flights along the Yangtze River will be introduced, offering aerial city tours.
The project is also set to integrate Hanyang into a wider “half-hour urban air mobility network,” linking it with Wuhan’s larger metropolitan area.
Plans include dedicated eVTOL landing zones at the future Hanyang High-Speed Rail Station, streamlining connections between air and rail travel.
AutoFlight and Hanyang will also collaborate on a Central China hub for eVTOL assembly, testing, sales, and delivery.
