Asterion and IronNet partner to strengthen cybersecurity and counter-UAS solutions
November 13, 2024
AI-based collective defence cybersecurity company IronNet is to collaborate with counter-UAS technology provider Asterion in a “partnership for the protection of critical infrastructure”.
With a growing need for comprehensive and integrated defence strategies proportional to the increase in unauthorised and hostile drones, the partnership aims to deliver a “layered dense framework that strengthens the protection of critical infrastructure, urban environments, and national borders,” explain the companies.
Combining IronDome’s real-time cyber threat detection and coordinate response with Asterion’s drone detection and tracking systems, the solution will also utilise AI, machine learning, and advanced sensor networks to analyse patterns and anomalies across a broad range of data sources. These “multi-dimensional” threats could include those originating from ground, air and space.
IronNet CEO Linda Zecher described the partnership as representing “a paradigm shift in how we approach critical infrastructure protection”. She added that “by embracing the convergence of cyber and aerial threat detection and defence, governments and organisations can ensure a more comprehensive and effective approach to safeguarding critical infrastructure and national interests”.
