Californian eVTOL developer Archer Aviation has announced the five initial locations of its planned San Francisco Bay Area network, having recently signed an agreement with Kilroy Realty Corporation to develop a key hub at Kilroy Oyster Point.

The development of a vertiport at the 50-acre amenity-rich, mixed-use waterfront campus of Kilroy Oyster Point is described by Archer as a “critical cub in [its] planned San Francisco Bay UAM [urban air mobility] network”. The facility will give Archer access to a takeoff and landing site in South San Francisco capable of connecting with planned vertiport locations at Napa, San Jose, Oakland and Livermore.

“I applaud Kilroy’s vision as one of the first developers to see our mobility service as a differentiating amenity for their real estate portfolio,” said Bryan Bernhard, archer’s chief growth and infrastructure officer. An initial launch location for the four-passenger eVTOL at Kilroy Oyster Point could open as early as late 2025, with the two companies also exploring potential expansion into other locations within Kilroy’s real estate portfolio.
