Anuvu to enhance Air Côte d’Ivoire’s IFE with “rich library” of African content
November 28, 2024
Offering a bespoke inflight entertainment (IFE) solution, Anuvu is bringing local content to Air Côte d’Ivoire’s passengers.
In line with the Ivory Coast carrier’s investment in a new fleet, the collaboration with Anuvu will see the delivery of a diverse selection of 4K content and a rich library of regional African titles to enhance the passenger experience.
Anuvu’s expertise in regional African content was a key factor in securing the partnership, according to Estibaliz Asiain, EVP Media & Content at Anuvu. “We stood out as the most advanced provider, pioneering 4K content in the industry and aligning with studios to deliver top titles,” he said.
“We’ve long been at the forefront of the inflight entertainment landscape, recognising the importance of catering to diverse audiences and ensuring passengers feel represented and engaged during their inflight experience.”
Further commenting on how the collaboration reflects Air Côte d’Ivoire’s commitment to delivering a superior passenger experience, with a greater variety of entertainment to suit a wide range of tastes, the airline’s CEO, Laurent Loukou added: “As we introduce our new A330 neo fleet, it’s crucial that we offer a personalised and immersive entertainment experience that reflects both our regional culture and global content trends.”
With its existing fleet consisting of 11 aircraft, including seven Airbus A320-family aircraft and four De Havilland Dash 8 aircraft, Air Côte d’Ivoire is now awaiting delivery of two Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. Although reports earlier this year suggested the carrier was still seeking US$170 million to finalise the purchase of the aircraft, the first of which is expected to be delivered this year. Operating from its hub at Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport in Abidjan, the airline plans to use the aircraft to serve international routes starting with Paris and followed by other European and US destinations.
