Panama-based regional carrier, Air Panama, is expanding its fleet having taken delivery of its first Dash 8-400s turboprops from Jetcraft Commercial.
The deal follows the acquisition by Jetcraft Commercial, the commercial division of global aircraft trading firm Jetcraft, of 19 Dash 8-400s from Horizon Air. In addition to Air Panama, Jetcraft Commercial is also delivering the aircraft to other companies.
With Air Panama seeing increasing demand across Central America, the two new aircraft will be deployed on its domestic and international routes. The aircraft’s “fuel efficiency and reliability make it a perfect fit for both our domestic and regional operations, helping us optimise our services while enhancing the overall passenger experience,” said Eduardo Stagg, CEO, Air Panama. The rest of its fleet is comprised of Boeing 737 and Focker aircraft.
Describing the Dash 8-400 as a “versatile aircraft”, Richard Libby, VP Sales, Jetcraft Commercial, said it is perfectly suited to operations in the Americas. “The dual delivery to Air Panama demonstrates Jetcraft Commercial’s expertise in efficiently structuring deals that align with the specific needs of our clients, while opening new aviation opportunities.”
