Air India Express has taken delivery of its 100th aircraft, marking a milestone in the airline’s expansion under Tata Group ownership.

Boeing, whose 737 MAX was the airframe in question, congratulated the carrier in a social media post, saying: “We’re honored to be part of your journey.

“Here’s to your continued growth and more 737 MAXs adorned with your #TalesOfIndia tail design.”

The delivery is part of Air India Express’s fleet modernisation strategy following its merger with AirAsia India.

The airline has been steadily growing its Boeing 737 MAX fleet. The Tales of India livery showcases regional art and culture from across India.
