GE Aerospace and UAMCO collaborate on LEAP MRO in Cyprus
GE Aerospace has entered into a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) agreement with Cyprus-based United Aerospace Maintenance Company (UAMCO), to support quick-turn maintenance services for CFM LEAP engines.
The partnership expands GE Aerospace’s capacity to meet its MRO commitments for CFM’s LEAP engines.
UAMCO recently received EASA approval to conduct quick-turn maintenance on LEAP-1A engines used in Airbus A320neo family aircraft and LEAP-1B engines in Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
Operating out of Larnaca, Cyprus, UAMCO will primarily serve customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
In addition to this new MRO agreement, UAMCO is working alongside GE Aerospace’s On-Wing Support (OWS) team to facilitate on-wing and near-wing installations of the new reverse bleed system (RBS) for LEAP-1A engines.
