ADS to launch ESG tool at FIA

Environmental, social and governance (ESG) workplace policies can be put to the test with this assessment tool at Farnborough International Airshow.

Companies can put their environmental, social and governance (ESG) policies to the test at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow.

ADS ESG executive Jordan Croskery said the association has already launched a beta version of the ESG assessment tool in preparation of its full launch at the airshow.

Targeted at SMEs, it asks a number of questions about each of the environmental, social and governance factors before providing scores for each.

Croskery said: “It will ask users questions about their E S and G factors. Do they do emissions reporting? Do they have a modern slavery act policy in place? At the end it will give them a tailored report that they can then go on and improve their ESG factors with.”

And as well as providing demonstrations of the new online tool, she added she will be pushing the importance of ESG in today’s workplace.

With increasing amounts of legislation coming out concerning ESG, Croskery said it was important that companies focused on their ESG policies which will also lead to other benefits.

She added: “It helps a company as you have increased employee satisfaction; you’re going to be more attractive to investment and especially with where the world is going now, it’s really important to make sure you can showcase that you are being environmentally and socially conscious.”
