Scott Parent serves as Vice President and Field CTO at Ansys, part of Synopsys, where he engages globally with customers to understand their digital engineering development needs and align Ansys’ technologies and methodologies to support their transformation journeys. He brings extensive leadership experience from previous CTO and COO roles at GE, BP, and Baker Hughes. Scott has a broad background in advanced technologies, including multi-physics simulation, robotics, analytics, sensor development, asset health monitoring, AI/ML, additive manufacturing, computer vision, edge analytics, and other key components of the Fifth Industrial Revolution.

Scott is a member of Pennsylvania State University’s Nuclear Engineering Advisory Council and is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
