Gerry Ewart-Brookes served in the British Army as a logistician for 36 years in The United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Germany, Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan, as well as in multiple other countries around the World. His roles have focused primarily on supporting warfighting or the preparations for it. In the last ten years he’s commanded a 7500 strong Operational Sustainment Brigade and been the Head of Army Logistics.

He comes to Unipart from NATO where for three years he was the General Officer responsible for writing NATO’s plans for enabling and sustaining the deployment of hundreds of thousands of troops into and across Europe. He joined Unipart in September 2025 as a Business Development Director for Defence. As a retired Major General and logistician, he brings significant Defence related expertise to Unipart as it seeks to grow its contribution to UK Defence.
