Aline Doussin

Aline Doussin is a leading international trade and regulatory lawyer with a strong focus on the aerospace and defence sector. She advises multinational companies, financial institutions, and governments on complex issues at the intersection of global trade, national security, and strategic investment. Aline has deep experience in sanctions, export controls, foreign direct investment (FDI) screening, and customs frameworks, all of which are critical to defense, aerospace, and dual-use industries operating in highly regulated environments. She regularly supports clients on cross-border transactions, market entry strategies, and compliance programs, helping them navigate increasinglysensitive geopolitical and sovereignty-driven constraints.

Triple-qualified in Paris, England and Wales, and Milan, Aline leads Hogan Lovells Cadwaladers’ International Trade and Investment team in London. Her practice spans advisory work, investigations, and high-stakes matters involving regulatory scrutiny, including projects affected by sanctions regimes and national security considerations.

Aline is also closely involved in policy and industry dialogue, including through her roles with HM Government’s Trade Technical Group and other key forums. She is a frequent commentator on global trade and geopolitical developments and has particular experience advising on complex restructurings and exits in sensitive markets.
