Top airlines gather in Bahrain for Routes World 2024
The world’s leading airlines will gather in Bahrain this weekend for the 29th edition of Routes World, the annual global forum for route development.
The event, held at Bahrain International Circuit from 6–8 October, will bring together more than 2,300 decision-makers from airlines, airports, and travel destinations to discuss the future of global air connectivity.
Representatives from major airlines, including Emirates, Qatar Airways, Delta, and Air China, will meet with airport officials to explore new route opportunities.
This year’s conference will feature over 10 hours of talks from industry leaders, including CEOs from Gulf Air, Riyadh Air, and Oman Air.
Additionally, the inaugural Tourism Seasonality Summit will address sustainable growth beyond peak travel periods.
Mohamed Yousif AlBinfalah, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Company, said: “We are honoured to host Routes World 2024 and welcome aviation leaders from across the globe to experience Bahrain’s exceptional hospitality and connectivity.
“This event aligns perfectly with our vision to establish Bahrain as a global aviation and tourism hub, leveraging our strategic location and world-class infrastructure.
“This is also in line with Bahrain’s vision and our five-year strategy to connect the Kingdom to 100 destinations by 2026 and increase the number of airlines operating out of Bahrain International Airport.”
