Skyguide, the Swiss Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) and solutions provider ADB Safegate have agreed a strategic partnership to advance the implementation of future tower solutions, starting in Geneva, Zurich and Bern airports.
The agreement, which was signed during Airspace World taking place in Lisbon this week, builds on a collaboration between the two companies that began in 2020 and aims to improve safety, efficiency and automation at Swiss airports.
By integrating advanced technologies, the agreement will revolutionise tower operations marking a significant step toward modernising aviation infrastructure in the region.

The collaboration also solidifies the commitment of both companies to expand the successful implementation of ADB Safegate’s OneControl Electronic Flight Strip System, which is already deployed at Geneva Tower, to other airports in Switzerland. The system replaces traditional paper flight strips with digital interfaces to improve controller efficiency and reduce the risk of human error.
The implementation of advanced tower solutions in Swiss airports will enhance their ability to manage growing air traffic volumes more efficiently and enable more effective responses to unexpected challenges such as severe weather or emergency situations.
“Skyguide and ADB Safegate continue their joint journey to partner in the development of innovative tower approach solutions by bringing together the strengths from each company,” said Klaus Meier, CIO of Skyguide.
He was joined at the signing by Dr. Thorben Burghardt, CTO of ADB Safegate, who reaffirmed that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation and operational excellence. “It sets a strong foundation for collaboration and progress in air navigation.”
